Today, nearly 20,000 patients in France alone await a kidney transplant, facing daunting risks: one in six transplants fail within five years, and half within ten years. Okeiro is revolutionizing organ transplantation through its precision medicine platform, leveraging artificial intelligence to significantly enhance transplant outcomes and patient quality of life. Founded by accomplished scientist and entrepreneur Pierrick Arnal—whose prior achievements include scaling healthcare innovations across hundreds of US hospitals—Okeiro addresses critical challenges in kidney transplantation, including organ shortages, graft rejection, and fragmented patient care.

At the heart of Okeiro's innovation is the clinically validated iBox algorithm, developed with Professor Alexandre Loupy and the Paris Transplant Group at INSERM. By integrating over 85 clinical parameters, iBox precisely forecasts organ graft survival up to ten years post-transplantation, enabling real-time, proactive clinical decisions. Already validated internationally across more than 20,000 patients, iBox holds landmark regulatory approvals from the European Medicines Agency and the U.S. FDA.

With Okeiro's platform, healthcare providers seamlessly implement remote monitoring, predictive diagnostics, and patient-centric care through intuitive digital tools, significantly improving clinical outcomes and patient experiences. Additionally, pharmaceutical companies benefit from Okeiro’s powerful predictive analytics, accelerating drug development and clinical research, revitalizing innovation within transplantation medicine.

We led Okeiro’s €10M Series A back in December 2024 alongside Alven and Forepont, backing their mission to redefine global transplantation care and accelerate life-saving therapeutic advancements.

Fun fact: Our relationship with Okeiro began with a masterful cold email from Pierrick!
